About ARANZ Hydro
ARANZ HYDRO provides an integrated 3D software solution for developing hydrogeological models. The software supports input in the form of GIS, well logs, sections, maps and point data. Users can rapidly build, maintain and compare competing hydrogeological models directly from the measured data and user interpretations. The models can then be output either as Modflow grids, a combination of surfaces, point data and sections, or scene files that can be visualized through the separate ARANZ Viewer.

ARANZ HYDRO Features and Benefits:
- ARANZ HYDRO builds implicit geological models directly from the data through a process of refinement. A simple model can be built from the available data. This model can then be further refined by either additional data or user input. The interface clearly separates data, assumptions and model. When the data is updated, so is the model.
- Numeric interpolation of large numbers of points is performed rapidly using Radial Basis Functions. These techniques can be shown to be equivalent to linear variogram Kriging.
- ARANZ HYDRO models are stored internally as functions of the data. This approach allows the user to easily change the grid and sample resolutions. A powerful aspect of ARANZ Hydro is its ability to generalize from scattered data measurements to a volume of interest. The interface supports the ability to build multiple models in parallel.
- ARANZ HYDRO’s powerful 3D visualisation engine and simple interface allows users to focus on developing models and understanding hydrogeological relationships, rather than on the mechanics of building the models.
- A variety of output formats including GIS contours, sections, grids and 3D scenes can be distributed with the free ARANZ HYDRO Viewer.
